Is there any investment more important than the health, safety, and well-being of our students? Come “back to school” with us (on Zoom), this Friday, September 13 at noon to learn how the Cap-and-Invest Climate Commitment Act is funding safer access to schools, improved classroom experiences, and innovative university research.
According to our continued tracking of Climate Commitment Act investments, nearly $3 billion have been invested in specific projects throughout the state with more being allocated each month. From Anacortes to Yakima, from Western Washington University to Wazzu, projects are already underway or launching soon in many school districts and college campuses across the state. These include:
- Zero-emission School Buses

- Energy Retrofits and Solar Power for Public Buildings
- School District Indoor Air Quality & Energy Efficiency
- Air Quality Monitoring at schools in high-pollution exposure districts
