Fleet managers know that electric vans, trucks, and semis are more efficient to operate and maintain, and they know that the cost of powering fleets with electricity rather than diesel or gasoline is both cheaper and more predictable. But transitioning a fleet presents issues of up-front capital costs and charging infrastructure. With various incentives available from the federal and state governments, 2024 could be the right time for Pacific Northwest businesses to make planning for fleet electrification a strategic priority.
To make that planning process easy and affordable, the Breaking Barriers Collaborative offers the Fleet Decarbonization Accelerator, a 13-week, hands-on, cohort-based program that combines learning and planning, and includes access to fleet decarbonization experts, 1:1 coaching from fleet electrification experts from the Electrification Coalition, and presentations from fleet managers who have already started to decarbonize their fleets. The fee to participate is a small fraction of what a fleet electrification consultant would cost.
