There is still time to join Clean & Prosperous Institute and an incredible group of elected, business, and policy leaders at our 2025 Study Mission to Brussels and Iceland at our early bird pricing! On this mission, we will cross the Atlantic to learn from Europe’s 20 years of experience with their carbon pricing program – the European Trading Systems (ETS) and visit the largest direct air capture and storage facility in the world. After the study mission, you have an opportunity to add an optional “Highlights of Iceland” tour.

Along with learning from European Union (EU) and business leaders, the 2025 Study Mission provides an opportunity to connect directly with some of the most impactful climate leaders in Washington state. Each year, the camaraderie and actionable policy solutions that come from these missions is unmatched.

In addition to our bipartisan delegation of elected officials and policy makers, some of the Tribal nations, organizations, and businesses attending this mission include the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, Amazon, CenTrio Energy, Climate Solutions, and Puget Sound Energy.

If you’re interested in joining the Study Mission, register now! The deadline to register with early, discounted pricing is Sunday, March 2. After that, prices will increase. The final deadline for the optional four-day tour of Iceland is the same day. Don’t miss out on these incredible opportunities!

Study Mission participants will visit and dine at the Atomium in Brussels.

On this mission, we’ll engage with the EU’s Directorate General for Climate and International Markets to learn about the history of the ETS and the future ambition for the program. The ETS is credited with reducing emissions across the EU by nearly 40 percent from 1990 levels. By engaging with this successful, longstanding program, we can expand our understanding of how cap-and-invest can accelerate Washington state’s carbon emissions reduction results.

Each year, our study missions prove to be deeply rewarding for participants. Attendees come away with valuable insights, lifelong connections, and actionable solutions to our toughest emissions reduction challenges. You can learn more about the impact of previous study missions on our website

Study Mission attendees will visit the Mammoth project in Iceland, the world’s largest direct air capture and storage facility.

You don’t want to miss this opportunity to bring lessons from one of the longest-standing, most effective carbon markets back to Washington state. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to [email protected]
