Join us for our Made in Washington Study Mission

Tuesday-Friday, September 17-20, 2024

You stay current on clean energy innovation in Washington state by reading newsletters, attending conferences, networking online… but there’s no better way to amp up your expertise than by getting a tour of the most exciting developments that are poised to accelerate our state’s clean economy.

Clean & Prosperous Institute has led three study missions beyond our state borders to learn about innovations in carbon removal and greenhouse gas reduction. We’ve talked to elected leaders in California and Québec; heard from policy regulators in Sacramento and Montréal; toured innovation industry leaders in the areas of healthy soils, diesel fleets, sustainable communities, dairy digesters, hydrogen fueling, battery storage, clean energy manufacturing and much more.

This year, for our fourth study mission, we’re touring Washington state as we explore innovative approaches to clean energy, carbon removal, agrivoltaics, and other renewable energy technologies.

HIGHLIGHTS WILL INCLUDE:

  • Learning about what Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is doing to help develop a power grid that meets the complex challenges of the future
  • Exploring some of the exciting companies that have turned Moses Lake into a clean tech hub for not only our state but the country
  • Visiting the Columbia Generating Station, the northwest’s only commercial nuclear energy facility, as Washington is leading the next generation of nuclear energy development
  • Understanding how the basalt rock formations across Eastern Washington can be used to permanently sequester carbon
  • And, as always, the networking opportunities available during this 4-day study mission are second to none and space will be limited

Our Québec Trip Report will give you a good sense of how worth your while our Study Missions can be.

We plan to close registrations for our Made in Washington Study Mission no later than August 9th, but available space may sell out before then.
