Senator Liias joins our Future of Carbon Policy Forum
On Thursday, April 14 from 3 to 6pm we will bring together policy makers, business leaders, and community stakeholders at our Future of Carbon Policy Forum at the Climate Pledge Arena.
We’re especially pleased to welcome Senate Transportation Committee Chair Marko Liias. On the heels of passing the $16-billion Move Ahead Washington transportation package, Senator Liias will share what’s in this package, and what it means for you.
Senator Liias will join Congresswoman Kim Schrier and the Department of Energy’s Robert Edwards to provide perspectives from Washington DC to Washington state on the future of carbon policy.

Congresswoman Schrier voted in support of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill that will provide Washington state with funding to create clean energy jobs and address climate change. As a medical professional, Congresswoman Schrier is keenly focused on how to reduce the health impacts of greenhouse gas emissions.

Director of Outreach and Business Development for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office
Mr. Edwards leads LPO’s business development activities to support innovative energy projects in the U.S. that will accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy. Previously, Mr. Edwards structured and led negotiations of the groundbreaking $465 million loan to Tesla issued under LPO’s Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing Loan Program.
